Solid as a Rockby ~Forfaxia

Chief Lin Beifong from the Legend of Korra, taken Friday at Youmacon by the very friendly folks Deathcom media.

I did a few tweaks to the costume after Dragon*Con: A replaced the 3/4 inch screw posts articulating my arms with 1/2 inch ones (they're flush now!). I also did a lighter color wash on my arm and leg pieces because they were reading much too dark in photos. Finally, new contacts that actually show up on my dark eyes! (And I use hair gray now instead of powder, which was a list minute, desperate decision at D*C)

I also made my earthbending disc (carved styrofoam from the craft store- about $5).

Lin is one of my favorite characters too and your cosplay is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I am incredibly impressed by the lengths you took to get this cosplay as accurate as possible and I'm in love with the amount of work and detail you put into this. I just can't believe it looks so real, I really love the textures and the colors and I honestly can't even tell it's just a simple cosplay; it really looks like the real deal! Amazing work, this is by far of the greatest cosplays I've ever seen

Still looks awesome! I like the disk. Styrofoam usually comes off cheap but in this situation it works for what it is supposed to look like.
