I'm angry at my scanner, it does this blur on the left side of everything and I'm trying to debunk what it is.
This painting was inspired by the fact that I recently bought a book called: 4000 image motifs and I was testing out the different pattersn to create one of Augustine's posh suites. The color scheme is an actual room in the Grand Hotel.

I still haven't been in the Grand Hotel - darn elitists! I tried getting close when I was there a couple of weekends ago and they stopped me again!
