The Sibyl

From Greek Myth. The Sibyl was beloved by Apollo but refused to be his consort. He gave her not only the power of prophecy, but also any wish she had. She took up a handful of sand and asked to live for as many grains as she held.
However, she did not ask for eternal beauty to go with it.
